Being Shaped as a Female Leader
We had such a good time at the Find Your Voice conference, presented by WomenEdSGP on Saturday. One highlight was the keynote talk by Carol Jordan. She talked about identities that women may put on to be seen in a certain way. I was struck: "Who is shaping my view of myself as a leader?" Views others have of us are information that sometimes give useful feedback about ourselves and sometimes give useful insight about the other person or about the context in which we are engaged.
The WomenEd motto "10% braver" helps shape us to think of ourselves as women leaders who are getting braver and braver over time.
Thanks for an inspiring day of learning! A massive thank you to Gemma Dawson and team at UWCSEA East for organising this conference.
More posts to come about this thought-provoking day of connecting and learning.
