Interculturalism in Asia by Asians

We are looking for book recommendations about intercultural issues that are written by Asians. Can you help?

After a recent book store visit in Singapore (where we are based), the staff member was somewhat mystified by our request for books about the expat experience of Asians in Asia. We came away with two books that are adjacent to this topic: Rewrite the Rules by Ritu G. Mehrish, and Asians in Charge by Kenneth Chan. They are both about leadership by Asians. We took one each to read over the next few weeks. In addition, we know of the book Growing Up in Transit by Danau Tanu.

There are lots of books about the expat experience of Westerners in Asia. But what about Chinese expats in Singapore? Japanese expats in Hong Kong? Indian expats in Korea? Written in English or Chinese? (Our language limitations may be part of the problem.)

📕 Are there books about intercultural issues in Asia written by Asians? Please let us know!
