CoachUP 7 Conference

What an inspiring morning we had on Saturday at the CoachUP event! It was great to talk with so many educators and school community members who want to learn about coaching and use it to impact themselves and their schools.

A highlight was the taster coaching sessions provided by a large group of coaches from different coaching modalities. Participants got to be coached or observe someone being coached in five fifteen-minute live coaching sessions.

Here’s a great video showing an overview of the day!

Dr Johnston and his three hats

🤠 The opening keynote was delivered by Dr. Michael Johnston, who talked about three hats we might wear related to coaching:
1. The person being coached
2. The person coaching
3. The person who champions coaching in schools

What a privilege it is for us to wear all three of these hats! 🤠 🤠 🤠

CoachUP is an event that brings together all from school communities who are interested in coaching in education, regardless of which hats they wear. At CoachUP 7, participants were able to be coached in fifteen-minute taster sessions and also attend two workshops about different coaching models.

🤠 Which coaching hat(s) do you wear?

Thanks for organising this day, Russell Bennett and Stephen Fantom from St. Joseph’s Institution International. We love working with the other members of our Core Crew: Sarah Cole, Samantha Chesler, Paula Kennedy-Wingate, and Paul Turner.

Read on for more posts this week reflecting on different parts of the day.
