Coaching Skills for Leaders

“I want to help the newer members of my team contribute more often. They have good ideas but seem a bit reticent to share.”

“My manager dismissed a staff issue that I think is a major concern. I want my manager to take a more active role in dealing with the staff member.”

“I am in a conflict with one of my team members because they won’t follow my instructions.”

In this workshop, school leaders will have a chance to reflect on their current practice and see the potential powerful impact of coaching skills in their leadership. Regardless of leadership style, coaching skills can enhance a leader's self-growth and the growth of their team members. We will examine various communication tools and a mindset that help leaders build more cohesive, trusting, and forward-moving teams. This scenario-based workshop is designed for all leaders regardless of coaching background. Participants will walk away with practical strategies they can use immediately to better support and develop their teams.
