“What keeps you going…?”

As coaches, we frequently remind ourselves to "coach the person, not the problem." Rather than viewing difficulties as insurmountable obstacles, we perceive them as opportunities for growth. By reframing the dialogue from discussing challenges to embracing a solution-oriented coaching mindset, we empower individuals to recognize their skills, strengths, and available resources. This approach encourages them to actively pursue their objectives with renewed vigour. Leveraging existing strengths proves more fruitful than solely focusing on areas needing improvement.
