Coaching Demo Videos

We often are asked how coaches in training can watch some demonstrations of excellent coaching in action. Watching and reflecting on coaching is an essential way of learning to coach. Here are some suggestions from us.

Coaching demo videos are great for coaches who want to observe and notice and grow. These videos might also be useful for prospective coaching clients, who want to see what a coaching conversation looks and feels like.

The details are correct at the time of writing (December 2024).

Sir John Whitmore demonstrates the GROW coaching model, which he invented, in a coaching demo with Carol Wilson. (Scroll down the page for the videos.)

Lyssa deHart has a ten-video playlist of coaching demos, five of which have PCC marker analysis.

Marcia Reynolds has a collection of nine coaching demo videos.

Clare Norman has posted two demo videos on her website, each under half an hour long.

Lori Shook’s coaching demo videos include a series of fourteen sessions with her client, Silas, which shows a rich coaching relationship, created from its inception. She also has two team coaching demos.

Rich Litvin recorded an on-stage demo with two coachees, interspersed with commentary for the audience. (The coaching starts at about the 14 minute mark.)

Mindvalley Coach posted this playlist of fourteen coaching demos, including an excerpt from the above video by Rich Litvin.

The Coaching Institute has shared eleven videos of coaching demos.

The Coaching Academy has a playlist of seven short (15-minute) GROW model coaching demos.
